Advanced FAQ

How does payment work?

The guest authorizes payment with their card. The amount is held but not charged until the host accepts. If the host accepts, the payment is confirmed (capture). If they refuse or do not respond in time, the authorization expires and there is no charge.

What is the booking margin?

It is the minimum time before the meal within which you can still book. Example: if the margin is 30 minutes and the meal is at 1:00 PM, you cannot book after 12:30 PM. The host sets it (5, 10, 15... up to 60 minutes).

What happens if the host refuses?

The card authorization expires, you are not charged. The seats become available again. You receive an email notification.

Can I cancel a confirmed booking?

Contact the host and write to us at info@zouparound.com. Contribution policies vary by case and timing.

How does the host receive the money?

Via Stripe Connect. The host connects their Stripe account and provides their IBAN. Transfers happen automatically after payment confirmation.

Does ZoupAround take commission?

No. ZoupAround does not apply commission. The only deductions are Stripe's for payment processing.
